Vikings QB Kirk Cousins was taking hits all day during Minnesota’s tight win over the Giants three weeks ago. Without right tackle Brian O’Neill that should be the case again this weekend. Giants coach Brian Daboll, who should earn at least some Coach of the Year votes, has been the main factor in NY’s ability to out scheme opponents on offense this year. Add in playmakers on the defensive side with Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux and company, the Giants can get creative with the pressure they will bring for Kirk Cousins.
The Vikings have been one of the best teams at home this year, at 8-1, and are undefeated in 1-score games. But the streak could be broken this weekend with unfortunate timing. Vikings run defense has been lacking and will be vulnerable to consistent gains by Giants’ RB Saquon Barkley. I’m predicting NY will bring their force on the ground, with extra scramble yards to be picked up by QB Daniel Jones. I like the under and Giants ML but will be safe and take the points.
