Game Preview:
I immediately thought of one thing when I started analyzing this matchup, and naturally that was Tom Green’s character Barry Manilow in the movie Road Trip saying, “it’s gonna be a bloodbath” — see below for the clip, you’re welcome.
With a win today the Chiefs will secure their 7th straight AFC West title and also their 7th win in their last 8 games. This is a matchup between polar opposite franchises as the Texans are looking to avoid a 9-game losing streak (they won’t). Patrick Mahomes leads the NFL with 4,160 passing yards and 33 TDs with 12 of those to Travis Kelce who’s tied with Davante Adams for the league lead in receiving TDs. Those individual stats support why this Kansas City offense leads the entire league in yards per game (423.8).
From a betting perspective this matchup is more fun to roll with Chiefs offensive props, it’s also an easy lock in a teaser, but if you have to, take KC -14 with the Over 47.5 too.
PICKS: KC -14 & Over 47.5
Bonus Props
Patrick Mahomes (KC) – Over 299.5 Passing Yards (-110), Over 2.5 Passing TDs (+125)
Travis Kelce (KC) – First Time Touchdown Scorer (+500)
