It’s a light board tonight. Heavy favorites in all three games, so I’m staying off of those. Vegas is getting pretty tight on the Over-Unders, my models are all within about .1 of the number tonight, but we’re riding with a little bit of guts and low confidence in some of the goaltenders tonight. It’s nothing personal fellas, just playing the numbers.
Montreal Canadiens vs Ottawa Senators
This is the game I’m most confident in tonight. Over the last month, both of these teams have struggled to score, both under 2.65 goals per game in their last 13. Ottawa is missing their second leading scorer. I think goals will be at a premium tonight.
PICK: MTL/OTT U6.5 (-120)
Detroit Red Wings @ Minnesota Wild
I have this one coming in at just over the 6-goal number after taking into account the last month for each team. Minnesota is scoring 3.38 per game over that stretch, but Detroit’s defense has only given up 2.7 GPG. The X-Factor tonight is Alex Nedeljkovic, starting Tender for the Wings tonight. He has struggled so far this year appearing in 9 games with a 4.09 GAA and .880 SV%. That’s the bump we need to get this thing over 6. Dylan Larkin is out, but he only has 1 point over his last 5 games. I don’t think that moves the needle in terms of goals scored.
PICK: DET/MIN O6 (-120)
Vancouver Canucks @ Calgary Flames
Another tilt that my models have coming dangerously close to the number at 6.5. Again, using that last month sample. To me, this one comes down to 2 goalies with Save Percentages under 90% that’s not good, NHL Players are too good. It may not be pretty, but we’re getting goals tonight.
PICK: VAN/CGY O6.5 (-105)
