    6:30 PM EST (ESPN+) – Yale (8-1) @ Butler (6-3)

Yale has been really impressive to start the year. Of course, of 8 wins, most are lackluster wins that don’t mean much in terms of matching up with a Big East opponent, but they played really good in a game against there most impressive opponent so far in Colorado, losing by 3.

Yale seems to have a solid team but I don’t see them giving Butler too much trouble tonight. Butler is less than two weeks away from conference play, so being at there best in 10 days time is certainly a priority.

The backcourt of Jayden Taylor and Chuck Harris has been fun to watch a month into the season, but Butler will really lean on big man Manny Bates tonight. Yale is undersized, and being on the road against a tougher opponent that they don’t match up well with? Butler should cover with ease.

    PICK: BUTLER -6.5 (-110)

    7:00 PM EST (ESPN) – #17 Illinois (6-2) @ #2 Texas (6-0)

The first thing I’ll say is this – there is almost a 100% chance this game goes to overtime. This will be fun. While Texas is playing as the home team, this game will take place at a neutral site at Madison Square Garden as the first game of the Jimmy V Classic.

Texas is undefeated and is clearly making a case as the best team in the country. Illinois is legit – and i’ve stated multiple times I am bought in on them. I think in crunch time, Texas just has the better guard play by a small margin. The line opened at 4.5, and I can see why it moved down from that number. It’s going to be a really close game. Horns cover.

    PICK: TEXAS -2 (-110)

    8:00 PM EST (ESPN+) – Abilene Christian (5-4) @ Kansas State (7-1)

There isn’t really a lot to break down on this.

ACU has some double digit losses already this season against less impressive opponents than Kansas State. Kansas State is a good basketball team. And just like everybody else, with conference play approaching I am not expecting a let down spot here.

    Wildcats by 20+.

    PICK: KANSAS STATE -13 (-110)

    9:30 PM EST (ESPN)Iowa (6-1) @ #15 Duke (8-2)

Everybody and their brother will likely be on the Blue Devils tonight.. and rightfully so. Both teams travel to New York for the final event of the night at the Jimmy V classic.

The Blue Devils sit at 8-2 with their two losses coming to Purdue & Kansas, while Iowa has dropped a game to TCU already this year.

The combination of Freshman talent and experienced guard play for Duke is going to be too much for the Hawkeyes. Kris Murray leads Iowa, and he is a hell of a player… but he won’t have enough help tonight. Duke should handle business easily at MSG.

    PICK: DUKE -2.5 (-110)
