Game Preview:
It’s been 700 days since Deshaun Watson’s last regular season appearance, and as if this story couldn’t get more bizarre, his Browns debut will occur back in Houston with a dozen or more of his accusers on hand.
Watson’s talent and productivity have always been elite, which explains Cleveland’s willingness to weather this PR nightmare, and dole out a $230M bag to the just-turned 27 year old this offseason.
But the suspension is now over entering Week 13, and Watson will be at the helm for the (4-7) Browns, who will need to run the table for any shot at a playoff berth.
The Texans have moved on from the Davis Mills experiment, and are now electing to roll with Kyle Allen who had mixed results in their 30-15 loss in Miami a week ago.
It’s a big spread here, but it’s much harder to find things to be optimistic about with the Texans who are without their top options at WR and CB.
I’m expecting the Browns to win this one handily with an extra boost from the debut of their new-found franchise QB.
