The Falcons head to the nation’s capital to take on the red-hot Commanders and QB Taylor Heinicke. Somehow the Falcons are still fighting for 1st place in the division even with a losing record.
We have seen a very inconsistent Marcus Mariota throughout the season which always makes it challenging with the Falcons. They have the weapons however will be without their young TE Kyle Pitts who has been hit with the injury bug this season. Taylor Heinicke has officially been named the starter over Wentz for the Commanders. Heinicke has brought new life to this Commanders team as he looks to lead them to a third straight win.
For the Falcons to win this game the offensive line needs to give Mariota the time and protection for him to be accurate or slip out for a couple of big runs. The Commanders, need to find ways to score when they are in the RedZone. Their only so many games you can win on field goals.
