Indianapolis Colts (3-5-1) @ Las Vegas Raiders (2-6)
Injury Watch (Impact Players)
Questionable: DE Kwity Paye (IND), TE Mo Alie-Cox (IND),
Out: LB Shaq Leonard (IND), DB Deon Jackson (IND), LB Denzel Perryman (LV), TE Darren Waller (LV), WR Hunter Renfrow (LV)
Game Preview: Vegas and Indy finished last season with winning records but 2022 has been forgettable for both. The Colts have lost 3-straight and just fired head coach Frank Reich and hired former offensive lineman Jeff Saturday as the new interim coach — Jeff has never coached on a Saturday at the college level or on a Sunday at the pro level, so this should be fun to watch! Vegas has lost 3 of 4 and just placed Pro Bowl pass-catchers Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow on injured reserve. It’s hard to trust either of these teams to cover a spread, so give me the Colts +4.5 today thanks to a quote from starting center Ryan Kelly. He said “No one thinks we can do anything, but no one here is quitting on this team.” Let’s see it Ryan!
PICKS: IND +4.5 & u41.5
Dallas Cowboys (6-2) @ Green Bay Packers (3-6)
Injury Watch (Impact Players)
Questionable: RB Ezekiel Elliott (DAL), OT David Bakhtiari (GB)
Out: LB Anthony Barr (DAL), CB Eric Stokes (GB), LB Krys Barnes (GB), LB De’Vondre Campbell (GB)!
Game Preview: Are we sleeping on the Cowboys? They survived a Week 1 Dak Prescott injury by going 4-2 with Cooper Rush and now find themselves with the 6th best odds to win Super Bowl LVII (+1300). In their last 4 wins they’ve defeated teams by 12+ points and have covered 2 of their previous 3 road spreads with the loss coming to the division rival Eagles. This Packers team is FAR from what we’re all used to, and it’s incredibly weird to watch. Led by a healthy Aaron Rodgers, they’ve lost 5 straight games — the last time this ever happened was in 2008 (does math: that’s 14 years ago!). Only one of these loses is even defensible, on the road against Buffalo with the other 4 against the Giants, Jets, Commanders, and Lions — you kiddin’ me? Either fade this game outright or take the Cowboys -3.5.
PICKS: DAL -3.5
Arizona Cardinals (3-6) @ Los Angeles Rams (3-5)
Injury Watch (Impact Players)
Questionable: QB Matthew Stafford (LAR), QB Kyler Murray (ARI), S Budda Baker (ARI), CB Byron Murphy Jr. (ARI)
Out: DT Greg Gaines (LAR), OT AJ Jackson (LAR)
Game Preview: We’re trending towards a marquee quarterback matchup between John Wofford (Wake Forest) and Colt McCoy (Texas) — yes I just looked up if they ever met in college, not even close, they graduated 9-years apart, but in my defense I didn’t think about it at all before the Google. We won’t know the status of starers Kyler Murray or Matthew Stafford until close to kickoff, so this betting line and point total may change drastically. For that reason, I’m putting the rare all out stay away on this one, fade it, avoid it……..then live bet it.
