Cincinnati Bengals (2-3) @ New Orleans Saints (2-3)
    Injury Watch (Impact Players)
    Questionable: WR Tee Higgins (CIN)
Doubtful: WR Chris Olave (NO), QB Jameis Winston (NO)
Out: CB Marshon Lattimore (NO), WR Jarvis Landry (NO), Michael Thomas (NO)

Game Preview: What is happening here with this line, what do these bookmakers know that we don’t?! I’d expect the Bengals to be favored by at least 4.5 or more points, not by just 3. Of course the Superdome is a historically raucous atmosphere and we’ve recently been trained as bettors to view the Saints as a tough defensive unit — but they’re not right now. They’re a below-average NFL defense, surrendering 25.6 points (26th) and 341.8 total yards per game (17th). The Saints will also be without their best 3 WRs, Thomas, Landry, and Olave. If you REALLY want to play the “Andy Dalton revenge game” narrative we won’t judge you, but not me, not today.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (1-4)
    Injury Watch (Impact Players)
    Questionable: LB Shaq Barrett (TB)
    Doubtful: WR Julio Jones (TB)
Out: DT Akiem Hicks (TB), S Logan Ryan (TB), CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (TB), CB Levi Wallace (PIT), CB Cameron Sutton (PIT), S Minkah Fitzpatrick (PIT), CB Ahkello Witherspoon (PIT), TE Pat Freiermuth (PIT)

Game Preview: Hand up, before I analyzed this matchup further, I was thinking “backdoor cover!” Tampa Bay should absolutely dominate this game from start to finish just like Buffalo did last week in their 38-3 route of Pittsburgh. We’re looking at rookie QB Kenny Pickett against HOF Tom Brady who already has 2 early regular season losses with plenty of tough regular season matchups still to come. It’s mid-October, the veteran preseason is over, and Brady more than anyone knows the value of home-field advantage in the playoffs. This road spread of 10-points looks heavy, but remember the Bucs already handled the Cowboys with Dak & the Saints by 10+ on the road earlier this season. Right now the Steelers are the worst of those 3 teams. Both PIT & TB are reeling with defensive injuries, which leads me to take the over, but no way the Steelers keep this one close enough.

New England Patriots (2-3) @ Cleveland Browns (2-3)
    Injury Watch (Impact Players)
Questionable: RB Damien Harris (NE), QB Mac Jones (NE)
Out: CB Jonathan Jones (NE), WR Nelson Agholor (NE), LB Josh Uche (NE), OT Joe Haeg (CLE), CB Denzel Ward (CLE), DE Jadeveon Clowney (CLE)

Game Preview: This game is absolutely terrible, just a couple of once proud franchises battling through hopefully temporary sadness. And do you see all these injuries? We’re looking at a QB battle between Jacoby Brissett and 4th round rookie Bailey Zappe (although at the time of writing this Mac Jones has yet to be ruled out but is more doubtful than questionable). So which 2-3 team is playing better lately? It’s obviously the Patriots who erased back-to-back loses with a 29-0 shutout against Detroit last week. Meanwhile the Browns have lost back to back close games against the Falcons & Chargers. Bill Belichick knows the former Patriots QB Brissett as well as anyone so call this a matchup between those 2, and c’mon, Belichick wins it at least 9 out of 10 times. Look for a low-scoring Patriots victory here.
