Last Week’s Record: 3-4
Overall Record: 14-16
12:00 PM EST (FOX) – #10 Penn State (5-0) @ #5 Michigan (6-0)
SPREAD: Michigan -7
Penn State heads into the Big House with an extra week of rest. Sean Clifford is 2-1 against Michigan, but the only year he played at Michigan, it was in front of no fans. This time it will be a little different, with 100,000+ in the stands. But, J.J. McCarthy is also in new territory, starting against a ranked team for the first time (shoutout ESPN for that). Line is a trap, but I am jumping in.
My Play: Penn State +7
3:30 PM EST (ACCN) – #15 NC State (5-1) @ #18 Syracuse (5-0)
Line: Syracuse -3.5
I just learned the Carrier Dome is now called JMA Wireless Dome, but regardless of the name, the Dome will be rocking. Two solid defenses in this one, NC State will be without Devin Leary and I see them keeping the ball on the ground a lot. Keep that clock ticking and we’ll all be happy.
My Play: Under 42
3:30 PM EST (ESPN+) – Western Kentucky (3-3) @ Middle Tennessee (3-3)
Line: Western Kentucky -8
One of my favorites on the day. I loved both original lines already, but to get six extra points? You would be crazy not to take this.
My Play: Teaser – Western Kentucky -2 / Over 61
4:00 PM EST (ESPN+) – Kent State (2-4) @ Toledo (4-2)
LINE: Toledo -7.5
Let me be clear. I am a Kent State graduate. From what I have witnessed from the beginning, the line is disrespectful to what Sean Lewis has built there and I know the boys are well aware of what Vegas thinks of them. This will be a dog fight to get you ready for weekday MACtion coming soon.
My Play: Kent State +7.5
7:30 PM EST (ABC) – #4 Clemson (6-0) @ Florida State (4-2)
LINE: Clemson -4.5
The Seminoles decided to skip the second half last week against NC State, which we will say is because they were looking ahead to this moment tonight. What’s the excuse for how they played against Wake Forest? That I can’t tell you. Florida State may be without leading rusher Treshaun Ward, but this game will come down to Jordan Travis and how much he wants this. I think he wants it badly.
My Play: Florida State +4.5 and ML (+164)
