Philadelphia Phillies (Nola) @ St. Louis Cardinals (Mikolas)
PHI ML (-120) – Game 1 of this series was a thriller behind a playoff record setting 6 run 9th inning comeback from Philadelphia. The Phillies are now 1 game away from advancing to a matchup with Atlanta. Game 1 certainly did not finish as expected, the Cardinals controlled the whole game holding Philadelphia to just 2 hits until the 9th inning. Aaron Nola will be on the mound today for Phillies looking to put out a strong performance and help boost the Phillies chances of advancing. Nola struggled in his lone start against the Cardinals this year but, has had their number otherwise throughout his career with a 5-3 record and a 2.68 ERA. Mike Mikolas is on the bump for the Cardinals who are on the verge of elimination. Mikolas was outstanding in September posting a 2.32 ERA in 5 September starts. The Phillies will get off to a better start then yesterday, instead of waiting till the 9th inning to score all their runs. Philadelphia eliminates St. Louis today take the Phillies on the money line (-120).
