Game Analysis & Picks
The 2-1 Browns head to Atlanta to take on the new-look Falcons. Cleveland’s lead back Nick Chubb is leading one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL.
The Falcons offense is starting to look in sync with Kyle Pitts starting to get involved (5 recs/ 87 yards) and Drake London emerging as a Rookie of the Year contender.
With Myles Garrett ruled out from a car accident earlier this week, the Browns defense will be without their best pass rusher.
As crazy as it sounds Jacoby Brissett is a top ten QB in the league with a QBR of 62.5 (T-9). The success of their running game gives Brissett the ability to open up the play-action game and we saw that last week with deep passes to Amari Cooper and David Njoku.
The Falcons have been hanging in games but their defense has been holding them back by allowing teams to extend drives on 3rd & longs. Atlanta’s defense (allowing 109 rushing yards per game) gives Cleveland’s two headed monster, Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb, potential for a big day on the ground.
I’m taking the Browns (-1) and the Over (48) because both defenses have been suspect lately. More importantly with Myles Garrett out, the Falcons should be able to put some points on the board.
-Kareem Hunt Over 62.5 Rushing/Receiving yards (-114)
-Jacoby Brissett Over 212.5 Passing Yards (-115)
-Nick Chubb Over 18.5 Rushing attempts (-124)
