    Game Analysis & Picks

Going into Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season only Giants fans expected them to be 2-0. Saquon Barkley is starting to look like his old self eluding and running through would be tacklers. His 21 attempts for 72 yards wasn’t his best outing compared to his first game but he has been the driving force for this New York offense. Both games they’ve won have been decided by less than a field goal. Daniel Jones limited his turnovers with only two so far this season – 1 INT & 1 lost fumble.

The Cowboys 20-17 victory over the Bengals has reignited new momentum in Dallas. QB Cooper Rush is trying to keep the Cowboys playoff hopes alive with Dak Presscott sidelined. His 235 yards passing and 1 touchdown was just enough to keep them in the game. However, the heart and soul of the Dallas Cowboys has been linebacker Micah Parsons. He may not have eye popping stats with just 4 solo tackles and 2 sacks last week against the Bengals, but his presence is more than enough. Joe Burrow and his wide receivers looked so out of sync which should be a credit to Parsons’ pash rush. Whether he’s lining up to rush off the edge or inside the tackles he’s a force to be reckoned with. Parsons is second in pressure percentage at 22%, and tied for first with sacks & pressures (4 and 13 respectively).

Despite the Giants hot start I cannot put faith in them against a defense that knows they can control the outcome of this game. The Cowboys offense looked promising last week and if they can replicate their success from Week 2 I don’t see how they can’t win this game. Look for Micah Parsons to be disrupting the Giants offensive tempo and I’m taking the Cowboys ML.
