    Game Analysis & Picks
Quite the AFC West duel on tap tonight, as Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes look to light up the scoreboard again in Week 2. Both teams notched wins in their season openers, and the victor here will take an early hold on the top spot in the West. Each team is dealing with a key injury as the Chargers will be without Keenan Allen and the Chiefs will be without Harrison Butker. Allen seems like the biggest loss given his position, but the absence of Butker has significant late-game implications on the outcome of a close game.

Arrowhead is certainly a tough place for an opposing team to visit, but the Chargers possess the stronger defense, and the home-field and defensive advantages seem to offset here. Despite the short week, I expect both offenses to come out firing, turning this into the offensive juggernaut that the public is clamoring for. These squads are as talented as any team in the AFC, and I really expect this one to go down to the wire. I love the upside of the Chargers moneyline (+175), but the safest play is the spread (+4.5) as I expect them to keep it within a field goal win or lose. I’m also riding the Over (53.5) and have sprinkled in a flurry of enticing player and game props.
