New York Mets (Walker) @ Pittsburgh Pirates (Keller)
    NYM -1.5 (-134) & Walker O4.5Ks (-117)-
The Mets head into Pittsburgh for, believe it or not, the season’s first series. The Mets got a much-needed unexpected day off due to the game being postponed, just enough time to sit on that embarrassing two-game sweep from the Washington Nationals. Both of these teams are on the wrong side of winning and while that doesn’t mean much for the Pirates they still have the opportunity to spoil other teams’ seasons. The Mets are a game away from losing the division to their rival the Atlanta Braves so every game is a must-win. T.Walker(NYM) is getting the start and he has an impressive 6-3 road record that comes with a 3.29ERA. Walker isn’t known for striking people out but he’s known to get 5Ks a game so I like him with the over at 4.5Ks. The Pirates are playing to spoil other teams’ seasons however that doesn’t happen tonight. Keller is winless at home and this Mets team is no easy opponent. In welcoming back Daniel Vogelbach to PIT he does so with a W. I’m betting the NYM -1.5(-134) and Walker to get over 4.5Ks(-117) for tonight!

Washington Nationals (Espino) @ St. Louis Cardinals (Quintana)
    STL -1.5 (-105)-
The Nationals are continuing to spoil seasons as they shut out the NL Central-leading Cardinals yesterday evening. Now, as great of a win that was, I don’t see that happening again today, especially with a winless pitcher, P.Espino(WSH) getting the start. The Cardinals have a bit of a buffer atop the division however as many teams have found out the hard way, no lead is safe in SEPT. The Cardinals are looking to bounce back at home and back into the winning column and will do so with the help of J. Quintana(STL). Quintana has a 2.50ERA at home and was near perfect in August. I like the Cardinals bouncing back at home this evening. I’m betting STL -1.5(-105).
