I’m ready to run through a wall after that strip sack fumble TD by DeMarcus Mitchell in a 13-10 game with 1:17 remaining, securing the -6.5 cover last night in a 20-10 victory for the Patriots.

With 4 nationally covered NFL Network games from 1:00pm to 10:00pm EST, lets dive into the matchups for Week 2 of the Preseason.

1pm: Broncos @ Bills (NFL NET)
    Line: Bills -7

No Russell Wilson in this one, and the Bills are expected to play all of their starters except Von Miller. There are still some camp battles in the RB and WR rooms for Buffalo, and Matt Barkley was fairly efficient getting the bulk of work in Week 1. The Bills defense should have much more resistance for Broncos starter Josh Johnson, who finished with a 120.2 QB rating against the Cowboys last week with 2 TD passes. Purely more firepower for the Bills in this one.

    Pick: Bills -7

4pm: Commanders @ Chiefs (NFL NET)
    Line: Chiefs -4.5

The Chiefs have a ton of competition in their WR room, especially with longest-tenured Mecole Hardman dealing with a groin injury. The additions of Marquez Valdes-Scantling and JuJu Smith-Schuster are intriguing on paper, but who will step up as the lead dog? Highly touted rookie Skyy Moore is also squarely in the mix, and these last 2 Preseason games could be telling for who earns the bulk of targets early in the Regular Season. Pair that internal competition with Andy Reid’s favorable Preseason record and value looks to be on the Chiefs here.

    Pick: Chiefs -4.5

7pm: Buccaneers @ Titans (NFL NET)
    Line: Titans -3.5

Kyle Trask saw the bulk of the Week 1 work for the Bucs and put up solid numbers with 258 yards on 33 passing attempts. A 2nd rounder in the 2021 Draft, Trask will be busy again tonight as the former Gator looks to wrangle the 2nd string job from Blaine Gabbert. Malik Willis is the big story in this one for the Titans, who are also generating notable hype around rookie WRs Treylon Burks and Kyle Philips, but underwelming backup QB Logan Woodside will be an instant advantage to the Bucs whenever he’s in action. I love the value on the Bucs getting more than a field goal and would also sprinkle some on the over.

    Pick: Buccaneers +3.5 & Over 38

10pm: Cowboys @ Chargers (NFL NET)
    Line: Chargers -5.5

The Chargers have truly arrived on the NFL landscape as the offseason hype has reached a fever pitch with countless analysts already penciling them in to the Super Bowl. There’s nothing for the Chargers to prove in the Preseason, and I expect an overly cautious approach with any of their starters. The Cowboys on the other hand, are still searching for an identity and there should be an especially large spotlight on rookie 3nd-rounder Jalen Tolbert. This one should mean more for Dallas as they search for optimism and momentum heading into the meaningful games of 2022.

    Pick: Cowboys +5.5 & Cowboys ML (+175)

    PARLAY OF THE DAY (+1230)
    Bills -7
    Chiefs -4.5
    Bucs +3.5
    Cowboys +5.5
