Baltimore Orioles (Lyles) @ Tampa Bay Rays (Rasmussen)
    TB F5 3-way (-120)-
If you polled a group of Rays fans many would agree Rasmussen has been good this year. He has a 2.96 ERA over 91 innings this year and a 2.12 ERA since July 1st. Jordan Lyles has been a consistent presence in the Orioles rotation this year making 23 starts and on pace for 200+ innings but with a rather pedestrian 4.35 ERA. Both offenses have performed similarly since July 1st with the Orioles averaging a 113 wRC+ and the Rays a 110 wRC+. I think the Rays have the edge today due to the starting pitching matchup and while the Rays are favored overall at -177 ML but I’m going with the Rays and Rasmussen for the first 5 innings (-120).

Philadelphia Phillies (Wheeler) @ New York Mets (Bassitt)
    NYM F5 3-way (+116)-
On paper this looks like a great pitchers duel today between Zack Wheeler and Chris Bassitt. Both clubs are also playing well with both having won 8 of their last 10. Wheeler has been great with a 2.63 ERA over 126.2 innings this year and should have some extra motivation pitching against his former team and in front of the Mets crowd. Bassitt has also been good this year with a 3.39 ERA over 130 innings this year and 0 ER in both of his last two starts. Comparing the offenses tells a different story- going back to July 1st the Mets are 3rd in the MLB with a 122 team wRC+ while the Mets are 17th with a 103 wRC+. Along with the normal disadvantages of playing on the road, the HR hitting Phillies (6th-MLB) also don’t have the benefit of playing in their smaller home stadium which has a 114 HR park factor compared to 99 at Citi. This should be a close game but I am going toward the Mets and their offense and taking Mets F5 3-way (+116).

Detroit Tigers (Alexander) @ Chicago White Sox (Lynn)
    CWS F5 3-way (-136)-
Tigers pitcher Tyler Anderson spent July extending the length of his outings from 1 inning up to 3-4 and now appears to be a regular member of the rotation. He has been solid in his two starts in April totaling 4 ER over 12 innings. Today he faces a White Sox Lineup that is RHH heavy and hits lefties well. This year they have a .757 team OPS against LHP compared to a .683 OPS against RHP. Lance Lynn is in the middle of the worst season of his career but today he gets to face the Tigers who have only won 2 of their last 14 games. The Tigers team offense is also 2nd worst in the MLB with a 73 team wRC+. Today I’m going with Lance Lynn to bounce back in a favorable matchup at home and going with the White Sox F5 3-way (-136).
