Baltimore Orioles (Hall) @ Tampa Bay Rays (McClanahan)
TB -1.5 (+132) – The Orioles put up an impressive win Friday night in Tampa. The Birds had an offensive explosion in route to a 9-3 victory over the Rays. Unfortunately for Baltimore, Saturday they have to square off with Tampa ace and AL all-star starter Shane McClanahan. The Rays ace has been a monster at home this year posting an 8-3 record in the Trop with a 2.32 ERA. The Rays are on a two-game losing streak so they will need a strong start from McClanahan who did get roughed up his last time out. Tampa Bay will bounce back Saturday and take care of Baltimore at home, ride the Rays -1.5 (+132).
Philadelphia Phillies (Nola) @ New York Mets (DeGrom)
NYM -1.5 (+117), F3 Under 1.5 (+104) – The Phillies and Mets will meet up Saturday in what shapes up to be a top tier pitching matchup. Austin Nola gets the ball for the Phillies and the Mets will counter with newly returned Jacob DeGrom making his second start since coming back off the IL. The Phillies were able to steal game 1 of this weekend set Friday scarping just enough runs against Mets pitcher Max Scherzer to win 2-1. The Mets are a team that bounce back well they are 39-19 this season following a loss. Nola is no slouch but with it being DeGrom day in New York that is just the edge the Mets need Saturday. Let’s roll with the Mets -1.5 (+117).
New York Yankees (Montas) @ Boston Red Sox (Crawford)
NYY -1.5 (+106) – The Yankees and Red Sox will meet for game two of their weekend installment Saturday at Fenway Park. The Red Sox took game one of the series in dramatic fashion tying the game in the bottom of the 9th on a Jd Martinez single. The Red Sox then walked it off in the 10th when deadline acquisition Tommy Pham ripped one down the line to score Christian Arroyo. The Yankees will send Frankie Montas to the bump Saturday to bounce back from the tough loss Friday night. The newly acquired Yankee pitcher will look to rebound tonight after a rough debut for New York. Cutter Crawford goes for Boston and will have his hands full trying to keep the Yankee bats off the bases for the second straight night. This game comes down to Boston just not being consistent this year, usually when a team walks off the night before you would probably expect them to carry that momentum into the next game but that has been Boston’s problem all season long, they haven’t proved they can do that, and we are in August. Take the Yankees to bounce back Saturday behind a rebound start from Frankie Montas take New York -1.5 (+106).
