Atlanta Braves (Anderson) @ New York Mets (Walker)
    NYM ML (-135) & ATL U3.5 (+108) –
Few teams are hotter than the Mets right now, who are winners of 9 of 10 and have opened up a 4.5 NL East lead on the World Series Champion Braves. Hurler Taijuan Walker has been highly dependable for New York with a 2.79 ERA in over 100 innings of work. Walker is clearly the better option in this pitching matchup and the Mets are a nice value at home to keep it rolling. I’m jumping on Mets to win (-135) and the Braves team total under (3.5 runs).

Boston Red Sox (Winckowski) @ Kansas City Royals (Greinke)
    BOS ML & BOS O4.5 Runs (-109) (-105)
    – The Red Sox had one of the more bizarre trade deadlines in the MLB appearing to be sellers in shipping Christian Vasquez to the Astros, yet also acquired Tommy Pham and Eric Hosmer along the way. While they are clearly punting this season now and all optimistic eyes are shifting to their farm system, there’s still some key players in this lineup. Boston’s offense could benefit from the recent personnel shakeup and are a nice value in Kansas City tonight at almost even odds. My best bets here are Red Sox to win (-105) and score 5+ runs against Zack Greinke.

Toronto Blue Jays (Berrios) @ Minnesota Twins (Mahle)
    MIN ML (+110) & MIN O3.5 Runs (-125) –
Tyler Mahle makes his Twins debut tonight after being shipped over from Cincinnati this week. Mahle had been productive for the Reds and was one of their few bright spots, with a notable performance against the Diamondbacks where he threw complete game shutout with 12 Ks. The Twins are looking to get back to the postseason after coming up short last year, and currently lead the AL Central at 55-50. I’m expecting Mahle to shine tonight in Minnesota and get some run support from Byron Buxton and company. I’ll take the Twins to win as underdogs (+110) and to put up at least 4 runs against Jose Berrios.
