Miami Marlins (Lopez) @ Cincinnati Reds (Greene)
    CIN F5 3-way (+140) / CIN ML (-103)-
Pablo Lopez is coming off a start where he gave up 5 ER and Hunter Greene is coming off a start where he gave up 4 ER but I like the +140 odds for Greene and the Reds to be winning after 5. All Star infielder Jazz Chisholm is out for Miami for a few more weeks with a back injury which is a big loss to their already streaky offense- he has been their best overall offensive player this season (140 wRC+). Hunter Greene has immense talent; he was the 2nd overall pick in 2017 and his fastball has averaged 99 MPH this season along with a dominant 11.26 K/9 over 90 innings. Today I’m going with Greene at home and seeing if this is the week he takes a leap forward in the second half to being a consistently dominant pitcher. His main issue has been walks this year; he has a 3.99 BB/9 so far and walks have been a common thread in his poor starts this year. In spite of that, today I’m going with Hunter Greene and the Reds for the first 5 +140 and the ML.

Tampa Bay Rays (McClanahan) @ Baltimore Orioles (Watkins)
TB F5 3-way (-137) / TB -1.5 (-109) – Shane McClanahan has been maybe the best pitcher in baseball this year. He has a 10-3 record, 1.71 ERA and 11.95 K/9 this season over 110 innings and started the All Star game for the American League side last week. He matches up against Spenser Watkins tonight who the Rays faced back on 5/22 and Watkins did not record a single out and gave up 3 earned runs in the 1st before hitting the showers. He’s had a couple of good starts recently against some bottom tier offenses but overall he has a 5.30 K/ so isn’t really fooling anyone. Today I’m going with McClanahan and the Rays in what seems like a pretty clear starting pitching talent disparity and going with TB F5 3-way -137 and TB -1.5 -110.

Cleveland Guardians (Shaw) @ Boston Red Sox (Winckowski)

CLE ML (+125)) The Red Sox 3-1 victory yesterday came after going 1-9 over their previous 10. Hopefully for Boston the All Star break can be a resetting point for a much different second half. They have Josh Winckowski on the hill tonight and he was part of the return from the Mets in the 3-way trade involving Andrew Benintendi. He has a 4.38 ERA over 38 innings this year but he doesn’t miss a lot of bats and has a 6.32 K/9 which is even worse when paired with a 3.42 BB/9. The Cleveland baseball team is starting Bryan Shaw tonight so looks like some sort of bullpen game which might be part of the reason for the odds. The Red Sox are also without Devers tonight which hurts their already depleted lineup that looks like a AAA squad when you get past the 5th or 6th hitter. If this is a bullpen game for Cleveland that might not be the worst idea since their bullpen is 11th in the MLB with a 3.66 ERA while the Red Sox are are 23rd with a 4.25 bullpen ERA. Today I’m going with the CLE ML at +125 given the Red Sox recent struggles.
