Boston Red Sox (Eovaldi) @ New York Yankees (Montgomery)
BOS O3.5 Runs, BOS ML (+150) & BOS +1.5 (-145) – Eovaldi was pitching great for Boston before being out of action for a month, winning his last 3 starts and given up just 4 ER in last 26.2 innings, while fanning 30 batters. Both the Red Sox and Yankees are in a bit of a skid, with Boston nursing a 4-game losing streak and New York dropping 4 of their last 5. Montgomery gave up a pair of runs to the Red Sox in his last outing and lasted only 5.2 innings in a game the Sox went on to win in extras. The Yankees are heavy favorites tonight in New York and I like the all-around value on the Red Sox moneyline (+150), runline (-145) and team total over (3.5 runs).
Seattle Mariners (Ray) @ Texas Rangers (Bush)
SEA ML (-150) & SEA -1.5 (+112) – Robbie Ray and the Mariners are rolling right now. Ray has been doing his best to defend his AL Cy Young crown, going 6+ innings in each of his past 6 starts, and surrendering only 4 ER. Seattle hasn’t lost since July 1st and is in the midst of an 11-game win streak. All aboard the Mariners train! I’m riding with them on the moneyline (-150) and the runline (+112), as Ray goes for his 8th win of the season.
Chicago White Sox (Kopech) @ Minnesota Twins (Smeltzer)
CHW ML (+115) – The Twins lead the AL Central by 3.5 games, but have lost 5 of 7 games as none of their starters have lasted through the 6th inning since July 3rd when Devin Smeltzer did it, in a 3-1 loss to Baltimore. Smeltzer was peppered by the Rangers in his last outing for 7 ER in 3.1 innings, and looks to get back on track against a white-hot Chicago lineup that put up 12 runs a night ago. Luis Robert has been on an absolute tear the past 3 games with 9 hits and 8 RBIs, while Jose Abreu has also had 6 hits and 5 RBIs over that span. I expect the White Sox offense to keep rolling in Minnesota and take Game 2 of the series (+115).
