Boston Red Sox (Bello) @ Tampa Bay Rays (Wisler)
BOS ML (-113)- Boston was able to split the weekend set with New York picking up wins in the last two games of the series including coming all the way back from a 6-2 deficit on Sunday night. The Rays are back home after a disappointing series in Cincinnati where they were swept in all three of the interleague games. Brayan Bello will make his second career start for Boston Monday night in Tampa. The Red Sox top prospect will be looking to bounce back from a rough outing in his first career start just last Wednesday against the Rays at Fenway where Bello allowed 4 earned runs in his 4 innings of work and picked up the loss. For the Rays Matt Wisler will make his 5th start of the season. The Rays right hander is 2-3 with a 2.58 ERA in his 36 appearances this season. The Red Sox are looking to make it 3 straight wins Monday and expect Bello to be a little more comfortable on the bump Monday as he got those first game jitters out of the way. Bello is a different pitcher tonight and helps Boston take game 1 of the series over the slumping Rays. Roll with the Red Sox ML (-113) for the first game of this series.
Philadelphia Phillies (Nola) @ St Louis Cardinals (Mikolas)
PHI ML (-124) – Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals will close out their four game series on Monday night. The Cardinals have been horrible against right handed pitching this year with a batting average at just .213 and will have to face right hander Aaron Nola Monday night. Nola has been good this season with an ERA at 3.15 but does not have the record to show for it sitting at 5-6. Miles Mikolas will go for the Cardinals Monday. Mikolas has been great for the Cardinals this season, in his his 17 starts Mikolas has only allowed more then 3 runs twice but similar to Nola he does not have the record to back up his numbers. Both of these pitchers have been extremely unlucky this season with little to no support from their ball clubs. The under would not be a bad play in this game but I love the Phillies on the money line behind Aaron Nola along with the Cardinals really struggling at the plate. Lets ride the Phillies ML (-124) for the final game of this series Monday night.
Arizona Diamondbacks (Kelly) @ San Francisco Giants (Cobb)
SF -1.5 (+132) – The Diamondbacks just recently took 2 out of the 3 games against San Francisco just last week at home. After that the Diamondbacks proceeded to drop 3 of the 4 games they played against Colorado. The Giants won the last 2 games of their road series against the San Diego Padres to split the series however have been slumping just a bit going 3-7 in their last 10. Picking up wins in their last two games over a good Padres team was huge for San Francisco and could be the start to a hot streak for the Giants. San Francisco will need a strong start behind Alex Cobb who prior to his last outing had only allowed 4 runs in 20 innings of work. I love the Giants back home at Oracle park tonight. The Giants need to keep up the wins if they want to stay in the highly competitive playoff hunt in the National League. Roll with the Giants -1.5 (+132) in the first game of this series.
