Los Angeles Angels (Syndergaard) @ Miami Marlins (Alcantara)
    MIA F5 3-way (-103) / Runs Over 7 (-106) –
Noah Syndergaard has been streaky this year but has surrendered 8 ER over his last 2 starts. His K/9 is down to 6.49 this year compared to his career average of 9.5 K/9 so he is clearly not the same dominant pitcher he once was, even last year. Sandy Alcantara is coming into his own this year and has a 1.95 ERA over 115 IP and is one of the many bright spots on the rebuilding Marlins. Even with star power like Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani and a supporting cast of Taylor Ward and Jared Walsh, the Angels are only the 25th best offense in baseball going back to May 1st. Given the starting pitching matchup and the fact both clubs have bottom half bullpen ERAs, tonight I am going with Miami to be winning after the first 5 innings and for the over to hit.

Toronto Blue Jays (Kikuchi) @ Oakland Athletics (Martinez)
    TOR F5 3-way (-103) / TOR SFAW (-108) –
Oakland has been struggling to solidify their rotating this year and ace Frankie Montas leaving the game early yesterday with shoulder soreness and decreased velocity certainly doesn’t help. Tonight rookie Adrian Martinez makes his 3rd MLB start and faces a very tough opponent in the Toronto Blue Jays offense. His best pitch is a devastating Devin Williams-esque changeup that he can throw both for a strike and an out pitch. However, his fastball is average at best at around 92-95 with some tail but very hittable if not properly located. Kikuchi had a great May (2.36 ERA) but has been up and down in June (7.17 ERA) but looks to build off his last start against the Rays where he scattered 4 hits for 1 run with 8 strikeouts over 6 innings. Toronto currently has the 2nd best offense in the MLB (129 wRC+) over the last 30 days behind the Astros while the A’s are currently dead last over the span (78 wRC+). The Blue Jays are heavy favorites tonight but I am going with the relative value picks of the Jays to be winning after 5 (-122) and also to score first and win (-108).

Colorado Rockies (Marquez) @ Los Angeles Dodgers (White)
    LAD SFAW (+120) / LAD -1.5 (-114) –
German Marquez faced the Dodgers at home on 6/29 and gave up 5 H, 3 BB and 5 ER over 3.1 innings for an early exit. I would be surprised to see him come out on the road in Chavez Ravine and shut the Dodgers down after they just saw him less than a week ago. Marquez is also having a rough year overall with a season ERA of 5.89 and averaging about 3.5 BB/9. Dodgers young pitcher Mitch White has been stellar as an injury replacement filling up 35 innings of sub 4 ERA ball. The real separation is with the offenses with the Dodgers having the best offense in the NL going back to May 1st (119 wRC+) while the Rockies are dead last in the NL (87 wRC+) even though they play at high altitude. Dodgers are huge favorites tonight (-245 ML) but I’m going with the relative value plays of the Dodgers to simply score first while also winning (+120) and also the Dodgers to win by 2 (-114).
