Tampa Bay Rays (Kluber) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Berrios)
TB F5 ML (+125) – This would have been a more premier pitching matchups 5 years ago, but Corey Kluber has remained effective even in his 12th MLB season. Jose Berrios is trending the opposite direction for the Blue Jays being pounded for 14 ERs in his past 2 outings. Toronto is a far superior offensive ballclub but the recent return of Tampa’s Wander Franco to the 3-spot should provide a spark for the Rays offense against a struggling Berrios. I like the first five value (+125) on the Rays in the 2nd matinee game of the day.

Milwaukee Brewers (Burnes) @ Pittsburgh Pirates (Contreras)
PIT +1.5 (-103) – Burnes has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the league this season, ranking Top 7 in the MLB in both ERA (2.41) and Ks (119) in his 5th season with the Brewers. Roansy Contreras gets the nod for the Pirates in his first full season, and the 22-year old has been effective at home with a 2-0 record and 0.48 ERA in 18.2 innings at PNC Park. Catcher Michael Perez blasted 3-homers in Pittsburgh’s 8-7 win last night in the series opener and the Pirates look to extend their winning streak to 3. There is value on the runline (-103) for the underdog Pirates tonight even with a stud like Burnes on the hill.

Baltimore Orioles (Watkins) @ Minnesota Twins (Ryan)
BAL +1.5 (-109) The Orioles quietly finished the month of June with some momentum winning 11 of their last 18 games. The AL East is hands down the best division in baseball and it isn’t even arguable. The Orioles are clearly overlooked in the cellar of the division, but they aren’t entirely the doormat that everyone perceives them to be. Both starting pitchers profile similarly in their 2nd seasons, and Ryan is clearly the more refined product at this point, but is by enough to make Minnesota -240 to win? I like the value on the Orioles runline (-109) also here and expect Baltimore to keep it close.
